In 2005 we noted and celebrated 100 years of worshipping and giving praise to our Lord in our beautiful sanctuary. We continue to marvel at the foresight of those members who built our church. Zion Congregation’s first church building which was constructed in 1885 became unsafe. Thus, in 1903, the congregation decided to construct a new building. Many members donated hours of labor and building materials. The new building was completed in 1904 at a cost of $16,659.36(including the furnishings and the bell). Only $1,282.25 was unpaid at the time of dedication. On July 10, 1904, the corner-stone was laid and January 15, 1905, the church was dedicated. And, in 1914, the Schantz pipe organ was purchased at a cost of $2,519.61
